Safety

Bonfire Night Safety (15.10.26)

We take fire safety very seriously at Sunnybrow. This year, we wanted to make sure we started spreading the message early, so we were delighted to welcome in the Firefighters from Crook Fire station to help us. They cam and delivered a whole-school assembly and then every class got the chance to have a look (and sit) in the fire engine!

Allergy Awareness Live Lesson (28.09.26)

At Sunnybrow, we have a number of pupils and staff with allergies and intolerances, so we have welcomed the Governments introduction of Benedict’s Law and the new safety requirements places on schools. To help us develop or pupils understanding of allergies and intolerances, we took part in Picture News’ Live Lesson. It was very informative.

Safer Internet Day (10.02.26)

Fore Safer Internet day, we explored managing information online and online profiling.

Mini-Police (01.12.25)

Last week, Class 4 had their first mini-police session! They learned about the role of the police in our community, police vehicles, equipment and uniforms. Everyone loved trying on some of the uniforms and looking at how the equipment worked.

Road Safety Week (21.11.25)

As our school is next to such a busy road, we take road safety very seriously. Each class learnt about how to cross the road safely and tested out their new learning in some role-play scenarios!

Bonfire Night Safety (05.11.25)

For Bonfire Fire, we went into the Forest School area to practise fire safety. Every child got the chance to toast a marshmallow and make a delicious s’more!
