Nursery

In November 2019 we opened our Early Years Unit and welcomed Nursery into Sunnybrow Primary School. Nursery are an integral part of our school family and, together with Reception, form the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our unit is run by Miss Wild (our EYFS teacher and Forest School Lead) and supported throughout the week by Mrs Leddy and Mrs Featherstone. We believe that our Early Years Unit provides our children with the very best start to their learning journey because we strive to create a happy, secure and creative environment where children explore, investigate, listen and discuss in order to become independent, mature and motivated learners who are ready to learn and have fun! You can find out more about our approaches to teaching and learning by visiting the ‘Class One’ page of our website.

We have 15 places available in our Nursery. 5 of those places are dedicated to 2 year olds. You can place your child’s name on our Nursery waiting list by calling the school office on 01388 746 413 and providing your child’s name, date of birth and contact details.

When a nursery place becomes available for your child we will give you a call to arrange some induction sessions. If you accept the place offered, your child’s birth certificate must be seen by our school secretary (either Mrs Jones or Mrs Clarke-Boyd). We would also need proof of your funding code to entitle you to the place.
